Event Overview

The UK Offshore Powerboat Racing Association heads to Southampton's iconic waterfront for Round 3 of the 2026 Championship – the MDL Marinas Ocean Village Cup. Set against the backdrop of one of the UK's premier marinas, teams, officials and supporters will gather at MDL Ocean Village Marina for a weekend of high-speed offshore racing, waterfront hospitality and championship action in the Western Solent. Throughout the weekend, Banana Wharf Ocean Village will serve as the social hub of the event, hosting competitors, sponsors, officials and guests as the fleet arrives in Southampton for another spectacular round of the UKOPRA Championship. The weekend begins on Friday evening with Welcome Aboard Dockside Drinks, providing the perfect opportunity to catch up alongside the boats as the paddock comes to life ahead of race day. On Saturday, the fleet will take to the water for the MDL Marinas Ocean Village Cup, tackling a challenging offshore course through the world-famous waters of the Western Solent. While the racing takes place offshore, spectators can follow the action from a number of excellent viewing locations along the South Coast before returning to Ocean Village to experience the atmosphere of race day in the heart of the paddock. Following the racing, teams and crews will gather on the marina frontage for the official podium presentations, where class winners and overall victors will be recognised against the spectacular backdrop of Ocean Village Marina. The celebrations then continue into the evening with Parc Fermé After Dark, as Banana Wharf hosts our post-race party featuring great food, cold drinks and summer waterfront vibes while competitors, teams and supporters celebrate another day of championship racing.
